St. Xavier’s College came into being in 2001 in order to facilitate the much needed ‘superior education’ along with ‘competence building’.

The college follows the curriculum of Gauhati University. Subjects offered for these courses are as per the Syllabus of the Gauhati University
R Class XI & XII (Higher Secondary first year & second year)

The college follows the curriculum of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.

The college, keeping in mind the future prospects of students, has picked up some important subjects which address the areas of study that are relevant and useful in terms of further education and employment.

The college owns two hostels- one for Boys and the other for Girls – which are run on no- profit- no- loss basis under the strict discipline and guidance of the authority.
