Dr. Dipak Bhuyan is a renowned Ophthalmic Surgeon from Guwahati in Assam, who is recognised for his expertise in the field of Cataract, Cornea and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Bhuyan pursued his medical graduation and post-graduation from Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) GMCH.

Dr. Dipak Bhuyan is a pioneer in propagating the technique of Phacoemulsification (Stitchless Cataract Surgery) in the North- East part of India. He has also gained expertise in Phakic IOL Implantation (ICL) in high refractive error cases in the North- East since 2006. Besides, he is a leading refractive surgeon who is proficient in the wide variety of laser vision correction techniques such as Lasik and PRK.

Dr. Dipak Bhuyan has presented papers in various conferences organised at national and international level in addition to authoring chapter realted to Ophthalmology in text books. He has also been conducting Post Graduate Thesis for the last three years.
