Neglected for years, this area faced challenges such as poor soil quality, contaminated water, and rampant weed growth. The Old Jail Land already boasts some unique features, including an ancient temple, a serene lotus pond, and a waterbody on its southern side. These elements add a touch of history and natural beauty to the botanical haven.

Currently spanning 11.77 acres, the Botanical Garden includes 2.58 acres of rejuvenated water bodies. Over 230 sustainable botanical species, carefully chosen for their climate tolerance, thrive within the garden. The diverse plant collection includes trees, shrubs, climbers, ground covers, bonsai, bamboo, and palm.

Arboretum for Special Species

A dedicated Arboretum, covering 2.08 acres, showcases special flowers, herbs, and medicinal plants. This area provides a unique space for visitors to explore and learn about distinctive plant varieties.

Visitor Center and Information Display

The journey through the Botanical Garden begins at the Visitor Center, where informative displays highlight the rich botanical diversity of the park. This educational experience enhances the visit for both tourists and local residents.

Recreational Spaces

The park offers various recreational facilities, including a 2.5 km jogging track, garden spaces, a yoga corner, and a lotus pond. The South Pond, transformed from a stagnant water body to a vibrant wetland, attracts a variety of birds.
